Next week looks windy here on Hatteras Island!

Forecast looks good for the next 10 days. 

Fun little left surf at the Lighthouse this morning.  Clean chest to shoulder lines coming in.  Much cleaner than yesterday but smaller.  We just got some fresh new JS and Lost Surfboards in so come check them out.  Some really great looking boards for todays surf.   

There was a time this winter when I never thought April would get here but it finally has.  Although it is still a little chilly there is plenty of wind and some warmer temps on the way just in time for the Spring season.  We are gearing up will all the latest gear from Ezzy Chinook Dakine Oneill Lost Surfboards and more.  We will be open from 9am-5pm daily starting Friday April 3rd.  We are just putting the finishing touches of some remodeling in the store to give it a fresh new look for 2015.  We hope to see you soon.

After the Great day of wind and sun we had yesterday,  there isn't much on tap for today.  The approaching cold front has all but killed the wind and there wasn't really enough wind offshore yesterday to generate much of a swell.  It is however a beautiful day with temperatures already in the low 60s this morning with plenty of sunshine.  There is plenty of wind on the way but it looks like it's back to the regular February conditions, cold northerly wind for days at a time. It was a nice treat these last couple days though.  Hopefully this means we will have an early spring and this next cold winter blast will be the last of the winter.  I know everyone in the Northeast hopes so.  

Plenty of wind and COLD here today.  North at 30 with a wind chill in the 30s make for a pretty dreary day here of the island.  Its a great day to stay inside and work on the website.  Spring is just around the corner and we are gearing up for a great 2015 Spring Windsurfing season.  We have free shipping and no sales tax if shipped out of state for all Ezzy Sails.  Click here to check out the 2015 models.

Plenty of wind but it's getting COLD.  The water temperature in the sound is in the low 40's and the ocean water now is in the upper 40's.  There were some snow flurries here the other day but it was 34 degrees so nothing stuck.  It had been a pretty mild winter up until this point.  I am expecting to pay for the mild weather we had for most of January in March.  March can be the most brutal month of the winter here and this year is shaping up like it will be.  The surf was pretty fun yesterday in the chest to shoulder high range and pretty clean.   Looks like some heavy southerly winds first of next week.  While I doubt the water will warm back up we should get some swell out of it anyway. 

A little left over surf and wind this morning but neither stuck around for too long.  It turned out to be a beautiful afternoon with plenty of sunshine.  Looks like a pretty big Northeaster brewing for the the northeast on tuesday.  Forecast doesn't look too bad for here with mostly NW winds around 25-30.  No snow in our forecast but if the storm dips a little further south than expected than we could see some.
