We have decided, as you can already see, to revamp our website. Our goal is to give our customers the best possible web experience to go along with our superior in store customer service. If you didn't already know our website has always been a one stop shop for all your Hatteras weather needs. Just click on the Hatteras Weather button at the top of the page and you will get on one page swell heights & forecasts, wind models, marine forecasts, Satellite imagery, and the local radar. Island life depends on the weather so we want as much information to plan our session, day, week, or even month. We feel that we have compiled the best possible weather sites all on one page for easy access but we are always looking for new links. Feel free to recommend you favorite links and we will post them to the site. We are always looking for new weather information.
With it being harder and harder for our customers to get here because of the condition of Hwy 12 we feel we have to do a better job on our web store. We have always been somewhat hesitant of really pushing an online store because of the nightmares we have dealt with over the years from other "online retailers". Most windsurfers, surfers, & kiters aren't really sure what equipment to get and buying online they get NO customer service to help them with their buying decisions. When they show up on vacation here in Hatteras with their new online purchase, 50% of the time the gear is either wrong for them or doesn't match with the gear they already have. So over the years we have had to pick up the pieces from these online mishaps and get the gear they really need or help make the gear they bought fit what they already have. We feel it is our duty to get our customers on the gear that best suits not only their skill level but what gear they already own and where and when they use it. In store this is a very easy process and only takes a few seconds and a couple questions later we have all the information we need to help best suit their needs. Online this is a much more difficult process. Email or a phone call sometimes doesn't always equate to the instant online world, so we have added an instant chat feature to the new site to try and not only answer any questions our customers may have but also to try and establish a relationship with them so we can help figure out exactly what will work best for them. If you look at the bottom of each page you'll see a little orange tap just click on it and let us know what you are looking for and we will help point you in the right direction on our website or a competitors. If we don't have exactly what you really need we don't want to sell you something you don't need. We would rather have you get what you need and be happy than try and make a dollar on an unsatisfied customer.
